MISSION: Voces Intimae was founded in the Spring of 2005 to inspire the revival of art song for a modern audience in the North Texas region, as well as to promote the development of young artists in this special musical genre. THE RECITAL SERIES: Each season, Voces Intimae offers a series of exciting recitals with outstanding professional singers and pianists from throughout the Metroplex and further afield. Program themes are carefully designed to be stimulating, provocative and entertaining. We explore poets and composers from around the world in solo and ensemble literature, in songs from every era of the vocal art into music of our time. THE WORKSHOP: During an annual workshop weekend, esteemed clinicians delve into a particular topic of focus to develop young singers and pianists studying at Texas universities and schools of music. Events during the workshop include a faculty recital, roundtables, interdisciplinary talks, and a series of master classes designed to bring out the potential in each participant. The weekend culminates in a celebratory program featuring all participants. Voces Intimae is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. |
